This is so because SKS has a 20 inches long barrel whereas AK 47 has a 16 inches long barrel. IMO for the collector the Russian Tula's are the most sought after SKS's with next being the factory 26's, but the rarest SKS rifles are the North Koreans and the Vietnamese ones.
