Also try some fuel through the carb as a prime and feather the choke. It might take more pulling than is healthy at one attempt. I have a Makita DCS7900 its the same as the 7901 but with out the de-comp starter. The 7900/7801 is the Dolmar PS7900 in the US. DCS = Dolmar Chain Saw.

Reading though the chainsaw forum comments about the Stihl 015 I get the impression fuel leaks are likely due to a degraded fuel line. I am thinking I should be able to replace the fuel line from the carb side without disassembling the front fuel .... Step daughter's panties

They can be a real challenge to work on with the throttle, fuel line, and impulse line in such a tight spot in the air box with the carburetor.
